But I think there's still also value in these classics, and part of that like you say is the context that they were written in.Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17782561487396697870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1203893324932668537.post-67655444082478496952015-04-15T17:52:59.051-05:002015-04-15T17:52:59.051-05:00Very interesting post. I was always told to go with the most recent book when it comes to history or biography as they typically refer to and "correct" past books. But reading one written long ago provides such an interesting window on the subject and on how people once thought about the subject.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1203893324932668537.post-59473348291731948252015-04-14T21:52:46.757-05:002015-04-14T21:52:46.757-05:00It's a deal, Lark :)It's a deal, Lark :)Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17782561487396697870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1203893324932668537.post-1909024581972627252015-04-14T18:42:53.942-05:002015-04-14T18:42:53.942-05:00If you do make sure you share it! I remember the shock when I went to the UK to study and the university hadn't let women take degrees until 1948. 1-9-4-8.... Still plenty of work to do. skiourophilehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08200877834536477400noreply@blogger.com
