Very odd...<br /><br /><i>Wild Strawberries</i> is one of my favourite Thirkells, partly because I adore the Leslies (especially the exasperating Lady Emily, for all the ways she enrages those whose lives she passes through) and love that there is still a relatively limited cast. As much fun as it is to see dozens of characters interact in later books, it gets dizzying too.
